Powerpax Storacell battery managment review

I was in search of a small profile, durable, easy to use, long lasting battery holder. I don't know about you, but I carry tons of AA's for my flash unit and also AAA's for my remotes and accessories. I found the Storacell battery management system by Powerpax while browsing amazon and eBay. I came across these cheap clear plastic ones I have gotten for free in the past at times, but they break and are garbage. Plus they can't take a hit. The topper for these new found storacells? They are made in the USA!

These are just two of the sizes and colors they make. Plus they even make glow in the dark cases.

They beautifully hold and store my rechargeables. They protect the contacts so I won't be running into any short circuits.

They can easily allow for the pushing out of one cell at a time as needed or more cells if you have more fingers available. The batteries click beautifully in place and never move. You can bet I am ready to go buy more for the rest of my batteries. If I had a complaint it would be that they should make them in 4's, 8's and 16's. Most batteries I buy especially rechargeables come in those numbers. With how many AA's and AAA's I buy it isn't too much of an issue though.
I would also recommend you buy them in bright colors opposed to dark colors or colors that blend in and avoid the same colors between the sizes. This way they are easy to locate and identify.

One last note. A great way to figure out which are charged and which are not is simply reversing them! They lock in regardless of orientation so you just have to figure out which way you prefer tells you they are full. That simple.

Pro's:
  • light weight
  • durable
  • made in the USA
  • multiple colors including glow in the dark
  • cost effective
  • small profile
  • easy to use; one/two finger operation
  • protects contact
  • locks in place

Con's:
  • I prefer sizes 4, 8, and 16 opposed to 6 and 12. Not the biggest deal if you own many batteries
